Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal need to cough up a total of €75 million (£66 million) in transfer fees for Mykhailo Mudryk of Shakhtar Donetsk if they are to complete a deal.
And the next 48 to 72 hours will be crucial for Arsenal.
That’s according to Rudy Galetti on Twitter.
The well-known and well-respected Italian journalist has reported that Arsenal and Shakhtar are now in talks over the structure of the agreement.
We have already covered reports about Arsenal’s initial bid of £45 million for the winger being turned down.
Shakhtar have publicly said that Arsenal want to sign the winger, and that they are willing to sell Mudryk, but for a huge fee.

Could Arsenal sign Mykhailo Mudryk?
In our opinion, Arsenal will have to work very hard to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in the January transfer window.
Shakhtar clearly know how much the Gunners want the winger, and they will play on that.
That the Ukrainian giants have already turned down an offer of £45 million from the Gunners shows that they think that they will get much more from the North London club.
Expect more twists and turns in this particular transfer saga.
